A Suggestion of Scale
The photographic history I learned in school was full of gaps. It’s a wonder that I ever saw myself reflected, let alone attempted to be a part in it. I’ve been drawn to, and have admired, minimalist artifacts and illustrious men. Their images were precious and monumental but now I’m more interested in what can be created between the pages. I sever monographs and art catalogues then rip, bend, and shine light through. In these picture planes, I see and construct new rather than settling with what I’m given. Photography and its many tools allow me to have that control.
